Donations
A donation is a gift, typically money, goods, or services, given to a charity, public institution, or cause. It can take many forms, such as financial contributions, goods like food and clothing, or even blood and organs for medical needs. People donate to support causes they care about and feel good doing so, and can do so in various ways, including one-time payments, recurring online donations, or donating their time and skills.
NGO Donations Refund Policies
Once a donation is processed, it will not be refunded. NGOs have a strict no-refund policy for donations, as contributions are for donations, not goods or services. However, refunds may be offered based on specific circumstances, such as duplicate transactions, and some may have a shorter period (72 hours) for cancellation requests. If the donation has already been processed and used for a project, a refund is not possible, and the use of funds left over from a completed or closed project is generally at the organization's discretion. Contributions are considered final and are used for a social purpose, not for purchases. Exceptional circumstances: Refunds may be considered for duplicate transactions. There is a limited timeframe for cancellations, such as within 72 hours of the donation. It is best to contact the NGO to understand their exact refund policy.
